WELCOME

We at Portside Arts Center are very grateful for the community support and participation we’ve received. Our mission is to provide the community with creative programs and opportunities to develop their artistic abilities, imagination and inner creativity through the instruction of a diverse collection of local, talented artists. We hope Portside will grow into a place where everyone can experience the arts from music to dance to drama to arts and crafts.

We’ve collaborated with many talented artists to coordinate an exciting collection of classes and even more are to come during our next term in March. This summer we hope to offer a summer arts camp for kids, and in the fall a Monday through Friday after-school program.

We are in the process of searching out grants and funding to make the arts even more affordable for everyone in our community and create scholarships for our children’s programming. Your encouragement and support are vital to building a strong, vibrant community arts center. We look forward to meeting more and more of our wonderful neighbors in 2008, so give us a call, stop by and get involved!

Portside Arts Center is asking for your donation toward scholarships, renovations, and general operations. Your support will allow us to give the highest quality arts instruction at an affordable cost to children of limited resources and our whole community.

Portside Arts Center incorporated in Pennsylvania as a nonprofit organization in November 2007. We are currently completing our federal 501c3 status. All donations made through our fiscal sponsor, PositiveSpace, are tax deductible.

PositiveSpace's mission is to create a network of local artists for an exchange of information and resources to further the development of creative concepts and ideas, as well as create new opportunities for emerging and established arts by integrating art into the community.
