Then they will expand and combine these ideas with an imaginative approach to create their own characters that can be used in comics, animation, children’s books, and other forms of cartooning.
This class will offer children the opportunity to experience the joys of learning about many different art forms from various cultures around the world. Students will construct projects based on the traditions and concepts of each unique culture including Mexican “Day of the Dead” mask, Celtic knot-work bookmarks, Native American gourd paintings and more.
In this course students will learn the fundamental of painting. Beginning with color theory and following through with completed compositions. Students will embark on their own paintings from impressionist landscapes to still-lives set up in the studio.
